Attorney Chinwe' N. Foster, Esq. is the founder and managing partner at Foster Law Firm. Attorney Foster is a native of Columbus, Ohio and has lived and practiced law as an attorney in Atlanta since 2005.
After attending a prestigious high school in Columbus, Ohio, Attorney Foster received an Excellence Academic Scholarship to attend The Ohio State University. While pursuing a major in Criminology at The Ohio State University, Chinwe Foster dedicated her time to mentoring underprivileged young girls in the Columbus, Ohio area and tutoring other college students, while making the Dean's List for multiple quarters.
Immediately after graduating from The Ohio State University in 2002, Chinwe' Foster moved to Washington, D.C. where she attended Howard University School of Law. Although she received many offers to attend other law schools, Mrs. Foster chose Howard University School of Law because of it's mission statement. Howard Law's mission statement reads, "A lawyer's either a social engineer or... a parasite on society ... A social engineer[is] a highly skilled, perceptive, sensitive lawyer who [understands] the Constitution of the United States and [knows] how to explore its uses in the solving of problems of local communities and in bettering conditions of [it's] citizens." At Howard University School of Law, Chinwe' Foster was taught that lawyers were social engineers and it was there that she decided to approach her legal career with this thought in mind.
During her law school career, Attorney Foster interned with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Washington,D.C. as well as Columbus' Ohio's Public Defender's Office. She also was a member of Howard University School of Law's Criminal Justice Clinic and the Huver I. Brown Mock Trial team. As a student-attorney with the Criminal Justice Clinic, Chinwe' Foster worked closely with law professors under the Third-year practice Statute in representing indigent defendants in Washington, D.C. on criminal cases as well as revocation and parole hearings. As a member of the Huver I. Brown Mock trial team, she participated in and excelled in several Moot Court competitions. Even as a student, Chinwe' Foster was well aware of the fact that she wanted to be a trial attomey and joined the Association of Trial Attorney's while in law school.
Upon obtaining her Juris Doctorate degree from Howard University School of Law in 2005, Chinwe' Foster immediately passed the Georgia Bar and became qualified to practice law as a licensed attorney in Georgia. Attorney Foster moved to Atlanta Georgia in 2005 and began practicing law as a Criminal Defense Attorney with the Atlanta Judicial Circuit Public Defender's Office. While at the Public Defender's Office, Attorney Foster received ample training and obtained immeasurable trial experience. Attorney Foster left the Public Defender's Office in 2010 to pursue other business ventures, become a trial consultant for other criminal defense attorneys, as well as become an adjunct professor teaching Conflict Management and Public Relations.
