Yasmin Cunningham is an Attorney for the Family Law Division at Foster Law Firm.  Attorney Cunningham handles family law matters including, but not limited to, divorce, child custody, modifications, contempt hearings, Motion hearings and Trial.

Yasmin, a New Orleans, Louisiana native, worked in business law and civil litigation before her interest in family law called her to make a change and join The Foster Law Firm. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2014 and then earned her J.D. in 2017 from Mississippi College School of Law. She was a member of the Moot Court Board and served as the Internal Appellate Advocacy Chair. Additionally, during law school, Yasmin studied European Law in Berlin, Germany, and served as a law clerk to Presiding Judge Stephen Louis A. Dillard of the Georgia Court of Appeals. 

 

Yasmin’s interests and career have always centered around her passion for helping clients reach a favorable resolution by advocating on their behalf. Before joining The Foster Law Firm, Yasmin began her career as an Associate Attorney at a small boutique Atlanta litigation firm. She focused her talents on representing clients in developing business corporations, resolving their business disputes, defending clients against worker’s compensation claims, and aiding clients in reputation defense. With these skills, Yasmin is driven and ambitious to deliver results in the best interest of her clients. Her compassion for others is the pivotal force in her family law advocacy. Her mission as an attorney is to create a lasting impact that will change clients’ lives for the greater.   

 

Yasmin enjoys community service activities in her free time, which include helping women through her nonprofit organization, Y.E.S. Women, Inc., and serving alongside her Alpha Kappa Alpha sisters. In addition, she enjoys cooking delicious New Orleans-style meals and spending quality time with family and friends.

 

Yasmin is licensed to practice in Georgia’s lower courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Northern District Court of Georgia, and the Middle District Court of Georgia.
