Tiffiney D. Franks is an Attorney in the criminal division at Foster Law Firm. Tiffiney handles a wide variety of criminal matters including DUI, misdemeanors, and serious felonies including aggravated assault and murder.  She has a passion for representing and zealously advocating for clients, ensuring their rights are protected. 

Attorney Franks is a true Georgia Peach being born in Atlanta and raised in Decatur, Georgia.  She graduated from Tucker High School and attended  the University of West Georgia for undergrad.  Attorney Franks received her Bachelors of Science in Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Law in 2011.  After graduating from UWG, Attorney Franks began working in the insurance industry as an adjuster handling complex litigation claims.  She then decided to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming an Attorney and enrolled in law school in 2015.  Attorney Franks attended Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School and while there she was a member of the National Black Law Students Association, the Criminal Law Society, and she volunteered with the Street Law Program which inspires and educates local high school students on subjects such as Juvenile Justice, Crimes and Consequences, Cyber bullying and Sexting and the Civil Rights Movement.  Attorney Franks also volunteered for Gideon’s Promise, a nonprofit organization which trains and supports Public Defenders all over the country to transform the way public defense is practiced.

 

In 2017 Attorney Franks went to Cape Town, South Africa as a transient student with Howard University to study Criminal Law in a comparative perspective to several different countries.  While there Attorney Franks was taught by Judge Zak Yacoob, a former Judge appointed by President Nelson Mandela to South Africa’s highest Court, the Constitutional Law Court.  From Judge Yacoob, Attorney Franks learned many things especially the importance of fighting for those who can’t fight for themselves and being a fierce advocate for your client.  While in South Africa Attorney Franks also worked for the Judicial  Inspectorate General for Correctional Services whose mandate is to uphold and protect the rights of all inmates who are incarcerated.  Upon returning back to Atlanta’s John Marshal, Attorney Franks worked for Gallagher Bassett Services as a client resource manager handling complaints and civil rights lawsuits against over 200 municipalities in the State of Georgia.  It is there that Attorney Franks learned the many complexities of Civil Rights Law.

 

Attorney Franks obtained her Juris Doctorate from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School in June, 2018 and was admitted to practice law in 2019.  Attorney Franks worked as an Associate at her prior law firm handling Civil Rights and other complex cases.  She worked on several high profile cases against the City of Atlanta and conducted several press interviews fighting for the rights of her clients.
